The leap for most actors to the directors chair has never been an easy one. Critics are quick to label it a big ego-trip. The behind-the-scenes chaos that has plagued Ong Bak 2's production only enforces this belief. One might forgive the slap-shod scripting upon learning this but otherwise would not be so kind. The proposed sequel will hopefully resolve some of the poorly realised plot elements such as the love story. Fortunately, Tony Jaa's skills as a martial artists remain firmly intact. Though there's nothing groundbreaking about the fights and stunts unlike his earlier efforts.
