Roles Models [2008]

Director:
David Wain
Writing Credits: Paul Rudd & David Wain & Ken Marino and Timothy Dowling
Starring: Seann William Scott, Paul Rudd, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Elizabeth Banks

Wtf?

Far too comedies have come out in recent years seemingly adopting the same mantra in hopes of garnering some success. Depending on how you see it Role Models is either a hit-or-miss case. Paul Rudd is dependable and reigns in some laughs but Sean William Scott and Christopher "McLovin" Mintz-Plasse drag the momentum with roles we've seen them play before, not to mention play them better. Fortunately, the foul mouthed kid Bobb'e J. Thompson alleviates things only to be subdued in the second-half "coming of age" portion. It's a zippy flick for a lazy weekend but offers nothing special (besides the nifty WOW-like cosplay battle scenes).

You're gonna have to watch the movie to catch more of that.
