Stretching a successful skit into a full length motion picture event has rarely proven successful. Honestly, only the first Wayne's World comes to mind. Will Ferrell and Adam McKays by-now famous George W. Bush skits/ads released prior to the 2004 elections packed a laugh-per-line. The transition to a one-man Broadway play not so much. Humorous and insightful in parts the show loses steam when playing to the masses with lewd and absurd tall tales. Ferrell proves himself to be one of this generations comedy greats but even he struggles to rain in the laughs on this dismal effort.
